Problem: After running an audit across Sky News and Sky Sports Web, it was noted that many inconsistencies had developed. For example, there were many superfluous styles being used in the codebase after the evolution of the brands over many years.
Solution: We created a core styleguide that consisted of code snippets and components to be used by both designers and engineers. The guide acted as a single source of truth which in turn, helped improve consistency, maintainability and reusability.
